SOUL CALL combines the evocative vocals of Chandrika Krishnamurthy Tandon with an ancient Sanskrit chant in eight classical Indian ragas, and with western and eastern musical arrangements. Continuous recitation of the mantra’s eight phonemes- Om Na Mo Na Ra Ya Na Ya- is said to form a protective armor during cell renewal in the eight vital centers of the body.
Recorded both in India and the US, Soul Call incorporates world-class musicianship and production. The album combines traditional Indian sounds such as sarod, sitar, and esraj with Western instruments such as piano, electric bass, and classical guitar. The instrumental arrangements are by Tejendra Narayan Majumdar, a world class maestro.

SOUL MANTRA, Chandrika Krishnamurthy Tandon's debut album, showcases the ancient mantra of Lord Shiva. The five syllables - Na Mah Shi Va Ya embody the five elements that we, and everything in our cosmos, are composed of - earth, water, fire air and space. Continuous repetition of this mantra is said to purify all the elements in us and in the cosmos.
