In 2009, as part of community outreach and giving back, Chandrika Krishnamurthy Tandon formed the Hindu Community Choir in NY in Queens and Manhattan. Working with over 150 seniors and children, she is crossing new boundaries by combining western choral and harmonic traditions with ancient Indian chants and ragas and bringing together a community in music. The choir performs in many venues including community and interfaith events. Chandrika also leads chanting sessions for thousands of people in meditation and yoga retreats.
